FOOD
COMBINING THEORY
Food combining is a method of eating that makes it easier for your
body to digest food, thereby improving absorption of nutrients and freeing
valuable body energy for healing and general use. Of all human activity, digestion takes more energy and
chemical activity than everything but exercise.
The more energy that can be saved during digestion, the more energy is
available for healing and everyday use. Food combining is not only away of putting foods together for a
high energy producing meal, but at timing system for allowing each meal to
digest before eating again.
DIGESTIVE
TIMING CHART
Fruit juice -- 15 minutes. Vegetable juice -- 20 minutes. Fruits -- 30 minutes. Vegetables -- 45 minutes. Grains and carbohydrates -- 60 minutes. Well combined meal -- 90 minutes. Poorly combined meal -- 240 minutes or longer, up to
8 hours! Food to actually start to rot in the digestive tract releasing toxins
(poison) into the bloodstream in poorly combined meals. FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Brain
activity (thinking) also takes huge amounts of energy to produce the neural
transmitters and hormones required for clear thought.
Neural transmitters and hormones are made of amino acids which are broken
down from the foods we eat containing protein.
This process of breaking down protein into amino acids and then
reconstructing the amino acids into other proteins called neural transmitters
and hormones also requires a large amount of energy.
In addition, it requires that the food eaten is a balance of complete
proteins. If the
protein balance is out of kilter, the body soon becomes out of balance and
disease may result. CONCLUSION
Healing
is putting the body, mind and Soul back into the balance that was intended by
the Creator. Living
foods -- foods that are still capable of growth when eaten -- are extremely
important source of life force energy for the body.
Wheat grass juice, sprouts, and vegetable juices are among the most
potent foods on our planet, and should become a mainstay in the diet. With perseverance quality of life, vitality and freedom from disease can be achieved and maintained. (c)
